Dear Partners and Friends of conect4children,
As we wrap up 2024, we reflect not only on the past year but also on the significant achievements of the c4c project throughout its remarkable journey. With the c4c project period concluding in April 2025, we are optimistic about the future and the continuation of c4c’s incredible work through conect4children Stichting (c4c-S). In 2025 and beyond, we are committed to continuing our mission to bring better medicines to babies, children, and young people.
Here are just some of the achievements of c4c that we are proud to report:
- The development and successful implementation of 20 National Hubs across 21 European countries
- Over 40 advice requests completed through the Strategic Feasibility Advice service
- Establishment of the c4c Education and Training academy offering a variety of courses, including GCP and GCP related courses, to paediatric clinical trial staff.
- Organisation of 6 Multistakeholder Meetings
- In collaboration with CDISC, developed the Pediatric User Guide aimed at standardising paediatric data items used in clinical trials
- Roll out of services through the conect4children Stichting (c4c-S).
Over the past year we have continued to build upon our success, by meeting all of the project’s milestones, produced a number of important results and already started to disseminate them to the broader paediatric community via the c4c symposium held in Amsterdam in November 2024. Although we are approaching the end of the project, it’s not over yet! Within the remaining months of the project, we will complete final deliverables and milestones, finalize the transferring of the processes created by c4c to the c4c Stichting and do everything we can to ensure the future success of c4c-S. We are focussed on delivering the last actions of the c4c project and passing over the project legacy to continue to improve the way medicines for children are developed in Europe through c4c-S. We want to take this opportunity to thank all of our amazing beneficiaries who have worked incredibly hard to make c4c a success. Without them, this would not have been possible.
