The conect4children International Symposium

After months of preparation, the conect4children project held the much-anticipated International Symposium. Gathering stakeholders from all around Europe and from different areas in industry and academia, the event united everyone under one goal – sharing knowledge and collaborating to enhance paediatric research and make better medicines for children.

Day one started with a delicious networking lunch, easing participants into the event. Then the presentations began, taking attendees through the journey of conect4children and presenting the results from the seven years of the project. After coffee, the attention was turned towards the future with a focus on the rich network created by conect4children. The presentations finished off with an introduction to conect4children Stichting (c4c-S), giving a high-level teaser for deeper dives in the Day two workshops. Introductions and conversations were solidified over a networking dinner.

Day two featured in-depth workshops on different areas of c4c-S services. The aim was to incorporate as many different views as possible to build a holistic set of services. After lunch, a poster review session was held. The posters were displayed in a dedicated poster gallery and available in the room from Day 1.

The aim was to be visually interactive by presenting all achievements from the work packages and National Hubs – it was a unique opportunity for the teams to showcase their work, share innovative ideas, and engage with peers and experts from various fields!
