The Corbel Medical Infrastructure-Users Forum was held in Paris 15th October 2018. The Forum is designed to promote close collaboration, at the pan-EU level, between medical research communities, funding bodies, and medical research infrastructures.
The October 2018 MIUF meeting was intended to discuss the following topics:
– the structuring of medical research communities at the pan-European level
– new models for medical research in Europe, with sharing of some success stories
– the emerging needs of medical research projects in the context of the big data and personalized / stratified medicine approach
– and the challenges raised in terms of development and deployment of data services.
Speakers from networks and organizations addressed the topics in terms of the pan-European projects they are submitting, leading or participating, covering a varied range of conditions from Infectious disease to brain research. c4c was identified as one of those projects contributing to structuring the medical research communities at pan-European level. Our thanks to Laura Mangiarini (PENTA), who joined the meeting remotely and presented c4c and Carla Owen (ULIV), who represented c4c in the audience.
