The conect4children project (c4c) is working to facilitate clinical trials across Europe to support the development of new drugs and other therapies for the entire paediatric population. In addition to the technical and operational improvements needed to achieve this goal, we also want to raise the general public’s awareness about the importance of paediatric clinical research, and improve the knowledge about this complex topic. To achieve this, we are developing an eye-catching campaign, which will be rolled out across Europe. But we need your help!
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all way to explain the importance of paediatric trials and how they result in safer treatments for children. How much someone knows about this topic or how they feel about clinical research in children will differ, for example among different age groups or in different countries. An effective campaign will provide information tailored to the audience. That’s why we want to learn as much as possible from respondents throughout Europe first.
Support this endeavour by taking our 5-minute survey to tell us how you feel about clinical research. Would you consider taking part in a trial yourself? And if you were a parent of a sick child, would those considerations to enrol them in a clinical trial differ?
Or take our short quiz to find out how much you know about paediatric clinical research. How do we know new medicines or treatments can be given to patients? And is this process the same for children as for adults? See how many of the 17 multiple choice questions you can get right and challenge your friends!
