General Description:
The objective of this course is to provide an awareness and overview of the particular challenges in design and execution of clinical trials involving neonatal babies.
Course participants will develop an understanding of:
Terminology in relation to neonatology trials
The specific differences that are relevant in the design of trials for neonatal babies with regard to Ethics, recruitment, consent and blood sampling
How to determine age-appropriate formulations for neonatal babies
Best practices & methods for follow-up and outcome assessment
Review a case study example of a previously conducted neonatal clinical trial
Programme:
The course consists of 6 pre-record lectures approximately 15-30 minutes duration each. It can be taken at the students own pace and has an accompanying reading list to support further learning too.

Age-Appropriate Formulations
Follow-up and Outcome Assessment
Case Study Example of a neonatal trial
To receive the course completion certificate there is a short online quiz to be taken upon completion of the video lessons. Multiple attempts are allowed for this quiz.
